🎉 A huge win to stop oil and gas expansion
[link removed]

Last week, President Biden announced he is halting all liquefied natural gas (LNG) export terminal approvals! The importance of this win cannot be overstated: These gas exports would have emitted as much pollution as more than 550 new coal-fired power plants. The Biden administration did this because changemakers like you, along with frontline leaders from the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast, protested, marched, sent petitions, posted on social media, talked with friends and family, and lobbied our elected officials. And we WON. Now, the Biden administration is considering more regulations to fight air and water pollution. Let's keep up the momentum and demand the strongest protections possible!

Urge President Biden to do more to protect our communities with stronger regulations against deadly air & water pollution.

Take Action

1) URGENT: Demand Permanent Protections for Mature and Old-Growth Trees
[link removed]

Act now before Friday's February 2 deadline: The Biden administration’s nationwide plan to safeguard old-growth forests currently falls short. It neglects crucial protections for mature, or future "old-growth," trees, which represent the majority of the national forest system and hold the majority of the forests' stored carbon. Protecting these trees would safeguard our clean water and air as well as wildlife habitats, and offer much-needed climate protection. We need to speak up NOW to demand lasting protection for all forests -- one of our best solutions in the fight against climate change.

Add your name before the February 2 deadline to protect mature and old-growth forests and trees!

2) Tell the EPA: Protect People and Pollinators From Toxic Pesticides
[link removed]

Toxic chemicals are still used nationwide, driving species of birds, bats, and bees toward extinction and polluting essential water supplies. We recently won a victory in New York with the Birds and Bees Protection Act to limit use of neonicotinoids (also known as neonics), the most ecologically destructive pesticide since DDT. But more advocacy is urgently needed – tell the EPA to do more now to regulate toxic neonics!

Send your message today asking the EPA to protect our communities and wildlife from these deadly pesticides.

3) Act Now to Urge Your Rep to Pass the EXPLORE Act!
[link removed]

The EXPLORE Act is currently hanging in the balance within the House of Representatives, and the window for action is closing fast! This outdoor recreation package would provide essential funding and opportunities for more kids, veterans, and communities to take part in life-changing outdoor recreation. Everyone deserves to connect with the nature around them -- but too many people around the US lack the opportunity to access the great outdoors.

Urge your representative to pass this bipartisan legislation today so more people can explore the natural world.
