The March 3rd Primary was a huge success for our party. But the battle for the primary is far from over. While the results look good, this unprecedented period may make our victories short lived.
Newsom added 21 days to the 30 days counties have after the March 3 election to officially count the vote.The final certified results won't occur until May 1.
There are over 300,000 unprocessed ballots left to be counted.
Governor Newsom has also mandated that the upcoming special elections In Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino counties on May 12 will be conducted with all absentee ballots. That makes the two seats we are actively trying to win; Congressional District 25 and State Senate District 28, more challenging.
Please contribute to the Unprocessed Ballot Fund today. It is critical that we have the resources to make sure the integrity of the March primary is upheld.
In 2018, there were several seats that we had won on election day but subsequently lost because of unprocessed ballots counted weeks later. We can't let that happen again.
