Now that we’re in 2024, we all get so many political emails in our inboxes, and they all end up sounding the same. But I have known Andrei for nearly a quarter of a century, and we’ve been married for almost 18 years. There is nobody that knows him better. So, I wanted to send a more personal email to you to tell you why I hope you’ll give Andrei your support.

You often hear about Andrei’s incredible professional achievements. But his values and character are why I believe he should be in Congress.

He’s the dad and husband who cooks for us most nights, no matter what else is going on or how busy he is.

He teaches our children the life lessons of honesty, hard work, and service — not through words but through the example of his deeds.

And the only reason he would take on something like this campaign for Congress is that he believes our democracy and our planet are on the line, and he cares about our kids — and all of our kids — too much to just stand by.

His campaign has already seen incredible momentum, but we need to keep it up as we finish the first month of 2024. John, would you chip in now to help him out?

Our kids, Ben and Belle, are 15 and 13, so we had a family discussion when he started thinking about running for Congress. We went through what it would be like — the time away from family during the campaign and if he was elected; the lies that would be spread by his opponents; the millions of dollars of negative attack ads. We tried our best not to sugarcoat it.

Our kids asked why he wanted to run, and Andrei talked about the difference he thought he could make, about all the ways in which our country and community deserved to be better represented, and all the people whose lives he could help. And — without hesitating — our kids said: you would, and nobody could do it better than you.
