It reminds me that this campaign isn’t about scoring political points or making a name for myself in Washington.
This race is about the people of Texas and the unprecedented challenges our state is facing.
It’s a reminder that every anti-choice law, every anti-immigrant policy, and every pro-gun bill affects real people.
The bottom line is that elections matter, John. And I’m committed to being the Democrat who will defeat Ted Cruz and restore dignity to our state’s leadership.
But I can’t do it alone — and it won’t come cheap.
