Mark my words: Indigenous women are going to break barriers in 2024. They already are.

In the arts, Lily Gladstone just made history as the first Native American woman ever nominated for Best Actress at the Oscars.

In politics, Peggy Flanagan has been chosen to lead the DLGA, our national Democratic Party committee that’s electing the most diverse group of statewide elected officials in the country.

But Lily and Peggy aren’t just kicking down doors — they’re using their platforms to uplift the stories of Indigenous communities and show Native girls they can do anything they set their minds to.

As Lily Gladstone said: “Sometimes what we need to do is just stand there and hold [the door] open.”

It's not easy to be the first. Peggy is working long days and nights, often as the only woman and Native American in the room where major decisions about the future of our country are made. She needs us to have her back. Peggy has a goal of raising $2,000 more for the DLGA before the end of January, but she can’t do it without your help — can you rush $10 or more today?

Thanks for helping the DLGA and Peggy keep making history!!
