Dear Friend,
With the Governor having recently issued a stay-at-home order lasting until Tuesday, April 7, I wanted to reach out to make you aware that constituent services are still available through both my Springfield and Mattoon offices via phone and e-mail.
As many constituents are navigating these unprecedented times, we are still working to help provide resources and information to the public. Please know you can ask your questions or voice your concerns by calling 217-235-6033 or e-mailing me at [email protected].
Meanwhile, I'd also like to take this opportunity to remind the public to be kind, thankful, and understanding during this ongoing health crisis.
Healthcare workers, first responders, truckers, manufacturers, and individuals providing access to daily essentials continue to work hard to ensure we have access to critical needs and resources. So, during these uncertain times, I encourage you to thank a doctor, a police officer, a store clerk, or a truck driver. Thank those who risk so much, continue to do their jobs, and make the necessary sacrifices to serve, protect, and provide for the public.
Additionally, please remember that many families are struggling right now. Some people have been forced into unemployment because of this pandemic. Many employers forced to close their doors are facing unimaginable challenges. These are tough times for many people across the state and the nation.
Be kind to your neighbor, do what you can to help those in your community, and as always reach out to me if there's anything I can do to assist you.
Sincerely,
State Senator Dale Righter
