This month, I officially filed to run for reelection to continue representing Michigan’s 6th District in Congress. Now, I’m facing my first end-of-month fundraising deadline tomorrow. This is my first fundraising goal while officially running for reelection.

I truly love my job in Congress. Every day that I get to echo your voice on Capitol Hill is an honor, and it’s why I work so hard to deliver real, lasting, and necessary change. If you know me, you know I don’t take a single election for granted, including this one. Serving my community in Congress is just too important to me.

This election is critical. I know you already know this, but we have the opportunity to take back the U.S. House this year and keep President Joe Biden in the White House. The last time we made this happen, we passed the biggest investment in combating the climate crises in history.

This is also an opportunity to stand up to the hate and division that has threatened our nation for years. You can bet that this year, I will be on the front lines standing up to Trump and his dangerous MAGA agenda. He’s already thrown attacks my way, but I won’t back down.

I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished already this year, and I am ready to keep working so we can help elect Democrats up and down the ballot this year. This work is going to take a serious amount of resources and time though. You know my least favorite part of my job is asking you for money, but I wouldn’t ask if it weren’t important, Team.
