Dear John, Happy new year! We’re a month into 2024, and I hope you entered this year feeling rested, rejuvenated, and ready. During these chilly, dormant months, I’ve been reflecting on the wins of last year, which laid the groundwork for profound progress in the year to come. 2024 is an election year, but even in the lead-up to November, we know we’ll continue to face relentless attacks on civil rights and liberties. Lawmakers across the country are trying to roll back protections of abortion access, gender-affirming care, equal pay, and more. And organizers across the country are determined to make sure that doesn’t happen. We remain committed to achieving justice for all people. To creating a democracy that works for all people. We’re following grassroots leaders, and we hold true to the belief that those most impacted have the solutions. With every attack we face, we are funding and building the capacity of partners who are doing the work that will move us towards liberation.
