Summary: CMS approved DHS' waiver amendment to increase the number of hours per week a spouse or parent of a minor can be paid. They are no longer limited to 40 hours of paid personal assistance services in a seven-day period.?

Summary: On Jan. 29, 2024, Minnesota launched a new resource to help people when they search for assisted living. The state?s new Assisted Living Report Card allows people to look up assisted living residences and find comparative ratings based on resident and family surveys and state inspections.

Summary: The federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved DHS? waiver amendment package on Jan. 17, 2024. The amendment package affects EW.

Audience: 245D-licensed providers, lead agencies, families and other interested parties

Summary: Residential service providers licensed under Minn. Stat. ?245D.03 subd. 1(c)(3) must notify DHS when they issue a temporary suspension of services or termination of services. DHS created resources to ensure lead agencies and providers understand the requirements and process, including which services require notice and the correct fax number to use.

Summary: In February 2024, DHS plans to offer two required trainings about employment and informed choice for disability waiver case managers and support planners.
