Just a few weeks ago, on New Year's Eve, Texas Governor Greg Abbott flew hundreds of migrants from the southern border to snowy, cold Chicago. Most of them had no coats and wore only sandals — by no means prepared for weather in the low 30s. Greg Abbott’s use of human beings as political pawns sent Chicagoans scrambling to find food and shelter for hundreds at a moment’s notice.
Governor Abbott has no regard for the safety of these people. Join us and sign our petition now to demand that the Department of Justice investigate Greg Abbott’s blatant human rights abuses.
This isn’t a new trick from Abbott. In the past few years, he has, with no warning, put thousands of migrants & asylum-seekers on buses and planes to DC, Chicago, Denver, New York, Martha’s Vineyard, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and more. Abbott shamelessly bragged that he’s transported over 95,000 migrants to “Democrat run-cities and states” and vowed to continue doing so.
Abbott claims he’s forcefully transporting migrants to "sanctuary cities'' as punishment for the cities' permissive immigration policies. The fact of the matter is: he’s continuously exploiting vulnerable people for his own political gain, ignoring their human rights. What’s more, an overwhelming majority of the people Abbott has transported are in the United States legally.
We can’t allow Governor Abbott to continue these egregious human rights abuses. The Department of Justice must immediately investigate him and his actions. Add your name now.
