In this difficult time for Jews across America and around the world, antisemitism is spreading and mutating in alarming ways. According to the ADL Center on Extremism, there have been an average of 34 antisemitic incidents a day.
The data is staggering, and the stories are terrifying. No one is spared. A spate of bomb threats, swatting, antisemitic vandalism, harassment and even physical assaults are targeting the Jewish community at synagogues, colleges, K–12 schools, Jewish businesses (and businesses perceived to be Jewish), on the streets, online and in people’s homes.
And while ADL recorded a devastating rise in antisemitic incidents after Oct. 7 — 2024 could also be one of the worst years for antisemitic incidents since ADL began tracking them in the late 1970s.
