Not gonna lie, Jack, 2023 was a tough year for Daily Kos. We were forced to make deep budget cuts and other changes in hopes of finding more sustainable financial ground.

The problem is that two out of three sources of revenue continually fell behind budget projections. We had to lean on our readers and activists donating what they can to help us make ends meet.

We aren't expecting those two sources of revenue to rebound this year. To make up for those losses, we increased our annual fundraising goal. In fact, halfway through January we raised our monthly goal by another $25,000. Grassroots donations from our community are now our largest source of income. We literally can't survive without you.

It is vitally important we reach our January fundraising goal. We need to raise another $20,109 in a matter of days. Support Daily Kos with a donation of $5 or whatever amount is meaningful to you.
