Here are some recent updates.

• The Arizona Republican Party elected Gina Swoboda, an ally of former President Donald Trump and director of a right-wing election vigilante group, as the party's new chair. She replaces Jeff DeWit, who abruptly resigned last week due to a bribery scandal involving Kari Lake.

• North Dakota lawmakers appealed a federal judge’s decision to adopt new, fair legislative districts to the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, saying the Legislature should be given more time to draw its own map after missing the court's deadline.

• The Georgia Senate confirmed an alleged election denier to the State Election Board the same day it approved a bill to give the board the power to investigate and remove Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R) from the board.

• A federal court in Florida began trial in a lawsuit challenging Miami's city commission map. Pro-voting groups allege that the map is racially gerrymandered in violation of the 14th Amendment.

Here’s what to expect tomorrow.

• The Illinois State Board of Elections will hold a hearing at 10:30 a.m. EST to determine if Trump is eligible under the 14th Amendment to appear on the ballot.
