Folks,
We are hard at work building a grassroots movement strong enough to protect Nikki’s seat and keep her fighting in Congress.
Everyday, more folks join in to help power our fight, so we wanted to pause from our typical emails to share a few facts about Nikki beyond her steadfast work to make progress for families, farmers, and veterans across our country:
- Nikki’s nephew Noah, is an athlete and played basketball at the the Special Olympics — she recently introduced the Down Syndrome Diagnosis Act in the House to help every family get the support they need to navigate this diagnosis.
- Nikki’s preferred drink of choice is diet Dr. Pepper, and she can often be found carrying one with her on her travels across the districts from Champaign to Metro East.
- Nikki is a proud graduate of University of Illinois and supports her alma mater’s basketball and football teams — even through the more difficult seasons!!
When she’s not busy meeting with constituents or working across the aisle in Washington, Nikki likes to collect plants and does her best to keep them alive.
We hope you enjoyed learning more about Nikki!
We think the most important fact you should know about Nikki is that she loves meeting with constituents and advocating for the issues that matter most to them in Washington.
But she’s up for reelection this year and with two Republican opponents in the race to take her seat, her chances of staying in Congress could be in jeopardy if we don’t start working together now to protect her seat.
So what do you say, friend? Will you help power our efforts to keep Nikki in Congress by chipping in today?
