Call for the immediate resignations of Senators Richard Burr and Kelly
Loeffler, who’ve used insider information to illegally profit off of the
coronavirus.

Profiting off of other people’s suffering is an outrage. But that’s
exactly what Senators Richard Burr and Kelly Loeffler appear to have done
-- illegally selling off millions of dollars in stock after getting a
briefing by the Trump administration on the global threat of the
coronavirus.

That insider trading is a betrayal of our public trust. And Senator
Loeffler even purchased stock in a work-from-home technology company that
is one of the few stocks that has actually gone up in response to the
COVID-19 pandemic.

Any member of Congress -- regardless of party -- who puts their own self
interests ahead of the public's health and financial security should
resign.

[ [link removed] ]We must hold Senators Burr and Loeffler accountable to the American
people for betraying our trust and illegally profiting off the COVID-19
crisis. Sign now to demand their immediate resignations.

The economic divide in the U.S. is real -- and it’s one of the biggest
barriers to combating this national epidemic and public health crisis. And
when the richest 1% use their influence and position to profit while
others suffer, we must fight back.

Our district, Michigan’s 13th congressional district, is the third poorest
in the country. Even before this pandemic, we’ve been on the frontlines
combating poverty and coming together as a community.

Our district's people, community groups, and small businesses are strong
and resilient. Even though so many residents were in crisis before the
pandemic, every day I see neighbors coming through with compassion and
determination to fight through this together.

So, when we see U.S. Senators using insider information to personally and
illegally profit off of a global crisis, we must demand action.

millionaires, billionaires, and big corporations that seek to profit on

relief for working people. It’s an ongoing fight, but we’re in it
together.
