Dear John -
The cheerleaders for war with Iran are louder than ever.
Three American service members were killed on Sunday [[link removed]] , and over thirty were injured, in a drone strike the White House says was conducted “Iran-backed militant groups”.
We grieve for these service members and their families. We do not want any more Americans – or any more innocent civilians – to die in a completely preventable war.
But people like Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) are seizing on this moment. " Hit Iran now. Hit them hard ."
Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) urged, " Target Tehran ."
Senator Tom Cotton (R-AK) says Biden is a "coward" if he does not unleash "devastating military retaliation" both inside Iran and across the Middle East.
The people who have worked for years to block and undermine diplomatic alternatives to war with Iran are closer than ever to realizing their long-held dream.
This is exactly where we predicted we would be three and a half months ago without a ceasefire and urgent diplomacy. The vortex of violence unleashed on October 7 has pulled the U.S. and Iran to the brink of war.
We already have a war in Gaza that has achieved nothing but the death of over 25,000 people. We have endless tit for tat strikes by Iranian-linked militias and by the U.S. and Israel, a vicious cycle that produces nothing but more death and violence. We now have the U.S. waging strikes on the Houthis, having apparently learned nothing from the Saudis’ years-long lesson in the absence of military solutions in Yemen.
And yet, according to many in Washington, the problem is that there hasn't been enough military action, there hasn't been enough bloodshed, and if President Biden just bombs Iran, then everything will be solved.
Our voices must be louder than ever right now – in calling out the warmongers and their loose talk of war, in organizing against their efforts to drag the U.S. into disaster, and in demanding an end to this vortex of violence, beginning with an end to the war in Gaza.
We are mobilizing now and need your help. Can you make a donation to support our urgent efforts to stand up to the warmongers and demand an end to the violence? CONTRIBUTE $50 [[link removed]]

Very few people want a war, yet there are loud and powerful actors dragging us in this direction, day by day. They need to be exposed and they need to be stopped. With your help, we can ensure that our pro-peace coalition of allies and volunteers can stand up to them before it is too late.
Thanks ,
Jamal Abdi
President, NIAC
