Republicans need to get their hands OFF of our healthcare. View in browser

John,

Ohio is leading the nation…in its pursuit of bigotry and xenophobia of transgender people. Once again, the Republicans are targeting a minority group of Americans and pushing their beliefs and agenda on the rest of us, and it’s just wrong.

As a biracial woman, I have experienced prejudice and I have been outcasted. It’s a horrible feeling. I can’t imagine fearing for my life like some of my LGBTQIA+ friends do. As you know, mental health is a big issue on my platform. We need to do better.

I decided to run for office because I want to fight for the rights and better life for all people. I have always had the strong calling to make our world a better place. My vision that drives me is for us to live in the greatest country where all Americans feel safe and welcome in their own neighborhoods, state, and country, for that matter.

The GOP has become the party of bullies and abusers. They think they can break the law and get away with it because Trump does. They don’t think they need to comply with subpoenas or the Supreme Court. It is up to US to stop this chaos!

Leaked audio from an online forum shows the true motivations of Ohio Republicans like state Rep. Gary Click, who sponsored a state ban on gender affirming care that just became law:

The legislators on the call openly admitted that their endgame was to ban trans care for “everyone.”

“The other thing is Planned Parenthoods. They pass out hormones like candy,” Rep. Click said. “That’s one of the places a lot of adults go.”

Ohio’s new law even goes so far as to ban some mental health treatment for transgender individuals. Look, this is targeted bigotry, plain and simple. And it flies in the face of established medical practices and procedures.

There is a disturbing theme here: the country’s most extreme Republicans, like my opponent Jim Jordan, want near-complete control over our private healthcare decisions—with women and transgender folks in the crosshairs.

We have only one message for Jordan and his ilk: BACK OFF. And if they keep trying to create their own sick little version of The Handmaid’s Tale, we will just have to work even harder to beat them in November. That’s why I need you with me now—and am asking you directly if you will stand with me and give $25 or more to help us fight back in battleground Ohio:
