Hi folks, it’s Kate.
January has been a busy and productive month for Phoenix! I wanted to share with you some of my highlights since the start of the year.
If you’re too busy, I get it – I’ve just got one small ask. Our end-of-month deadline is in a couple of days. Can you chip in? [[link removed]]

We started the year with a celebration. It was my son’s 7th birthday! We had the best time celebrating with friends and family. My birthday wish for him is to stop growing up so quickly!

I was thrilled to welcome Mayor Lee from our sister city, Suwon, South Korea, to Phoenix. I’m so grateful for the relationship we have and look forward to expanding our business partnerships and delivering climate solutions together.

To commemorate MLK Weekend, I attended the 38th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast. It was an event honoring those in our community who are continuing the fight for social and economic justice. Congratulations to all of our awardees.

As chair of the United States Department of Transportation Transforming Transportation Advisory Committee, I was so excited to host our first meeting alongside Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and other experts to navigate and adapt to technological breakthroughs in an ever-changing transportation scene.

Bienvenue from Phoenix to Paris! Phoenicians will soon be able to travel directly to Paris with a nonstop flight on Air France to Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport – just in time for the Paris Summer Olympics.

As Phoenix has risen to become the nation’s semiconductor manufacturer hub and the solar energy capital of the world, we continue to benefit thanks to support from the Treasury Department and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen. Thank you for being our partner in this vital work.
January was an exciting start to the year, and I look forward to keeping up the momentum we’ve built going into the rest of 2024.
I could use your help to do that. Team, if you want to keep Phoenix moving forward, consider supporting my reelection efforts today >> [[link removed]]
Thank you,
Mayor Kate Gallego
