My name is Dennis Baker. I’m a Democrat running for Congress to beat Republican Kevin Hern and flip Oklahoma’s 1st Congressional District. As an FBI Special Agent and Tulsa Police Officer, I spent my career running towards danger and taking action. Now, as a candidate for Congress, I’m going all in to win the most competitive congressional race in Oklahoma.
It’s a new year and with Tulsa flipping blue, the national spotlight will be on the 1st District in 2024. Democrats are looking to expand the playing field and find races to flip and take back the U.S. House. They have found one right here in Oklahoma. We only need five seats to retake the majority. Let’s win this and put our state back on the political map.

Following the 9/11 terrorist attacks on our country, I was a Supervisory Special Agent at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C., where I oversaw intelligence collection and investigative efforts directed at al-Qaeda. I’ve never backed down from a challenge and I get results. I’m going to take the same drive and determination and win this congressional race, neighborhood by neighborhood, block by block, and house by house.
