Hal Weatherman for Lt. Governor Surging as Voting Starts

Thank you to everyone who voted for Hal Weatherman for Lt. Governor at this weekend's John Locke Foundation Carolina Liberty Conference in Raleigh. Hal won the straw poll conducted at the conference with an impressive 31% of the vote in a crowded 11 person field for Lt. Governor. Results below: Weatherman 31% Ballard 29% Elmore 9% Undecided 23% All other candidates 1% or below. This is the second straw poll victory for Hal this election cycle and the results confirm recent polling which shows Hal's statewide name identification doubling over the last four months, opening up a 5% point lead against his closest rival. Absentee by mail voting has started. Early voting starts February 15th. The Primary Election is March 5th. ###
