Quick reminder for those of you who already heard about our solidarity actions with Appalachians Against Pipelines -and there are events planned TODAY at the headquarters of two of the three biggest banks!?
?
First, important news update that you've hopefully heard already: The Biden administration has announced a pause on new LNG export permits, starting with the CP2 project, pending review of their impact on the climate and other factors. Congratulations to all who worked hard on this, especially our frontline friends from Texas and Louisiana. Because of this announcement, those same frontline leaders have also canceled the planned protest Feb 6-8 in Washington DC. Click here to learn more and get updates.
But because the announcement doesn't impact domestic gas pipelines, or the MVP (which already has all the permits), we're not changing our plans to take action Monday-Wednesday, January 29-31, in solidarity with AAP. Click here to learn more about taking action next week - there are several events lined up in NC, VA, and DC, and lots of tools and resources for you to use, wherever you live. Even if you can't make it next week, you can still take action by making a call or posting on social media. All the tools are linked in that post.?
