** Environmentalists, Major Editorial Board, and Local Leaders Endorse!
------------------------------------------------------------

Friends -

We are 37 days away from the election and ballots will be dropping next week! That’s why I am especially thrilled to announce THREE major endorsements for our campaign: Sierra Club, Sacramento Bee Editorial Board, and Senator Angelique Ashby!

Let's keep the momentum going!

Onward,

Christopher Cabaldon

Candidate for State Senate District 3

** Sierra Club Endorses!
------------------------------------------------------------

I am honored and excited to receive the sole endorsement from the Sierra Club. For over 130 years the Sierra Club has been synonymous with environmental stewardship and sustainability.

Their support is a clear signal to voters throughout our region that I am the true environmental champion in this race. From my efforts in developing the landmark smart-growth blueprint, to my work protecting the Delta, opposing the peripheral canal and twin tunnels, testifying in the State Senate on the Flannery Project, ([link removed]) and my advocacy for innovating flood management and stronger levees - I am deeply committed to combating climate change and defending the diversity of ecosystems and small communities that make our region such a special place to live.

** Sacramento Bee Editorial Board Fully Endorses Our Campaign!
------------------------------------------------------------

This week, I was humbled to receive the sole endorsement of the Sacramento Bee Editorial Board! ([link removed])

In making their endorsement, the editorial board wrote, "It’s hard to imagine a 'rookie' state senator better positioned to instantly become one of the body’s most veteran policy minds than Cabaldon. The Legislature desperately needs veteran leaders like Cabaldon, who have weathered tough financial cycles before and know how to make tough budget decisions."

Our region is diverse, comprised of families and neighborhoods that span the socioeconomic spectrum, in cities and rural communities, workers, entrepreneurs, farmers, and so much more. I am honored to be contending for the opportunity to represent you in the State Senate and to be recognized by the Sacramento Bee as the most worthy candidate in this race.

** State Senator Angelique Ashby Throws Her Support Behind Our Campaign!
------------------------------------------------------------

I am proud to announce that Senator Angelique Ashby is the latest of our region’s leaders to join Team Cabaldon. She joins Senators Susan Eggman and Lois Wolk - both of whom represented our broad region over the last decade.

Senator Ashby is the first woman elected to represent Sacramento in the California State Senate in more than 20 years. Prior to joining the legislature, she was served on the Sacramento City Council for 12 years, where I had the immense pleasure of working closely with her on issues ranging from economic development to addressing climate change in our region.

Her support and friendship mean the world to me.

** Join Chasten Buttigieg, the Progressive Women of Napa and Me!
------------------------------------------------------------

Next Sunday, February 4th, I'm thrilled to announce a special opportunity for us to come together with Chasten Buttigieg at an event hosted by the Progressive Women of Napa Valley, in support of our campaign! Chasten, a remarkable advocate for equality and education, will be joining us in Napa.

If you're interested in attending and being part of this exciting occasion, you can find more information here ([link removed]) . Your presence would mean a great deal to us, and I sincerely hope you'll join us for what promises to be an unforgettable event!

** Talking to Voters Throughout the Region!
------------------------------------------------------------

I recently had the wonderful opportunity to attend a meet and greet in Benicia, hosted by Kathy Kerridge and Dan Morgan. It was the latest stop in my ongoing efforts to Chris-cross the district to engage with voters: neighborhood house parties, chamber of commerce dinners with small businesses, meeting with local farm bureaus, grassroots Democrats events, and the Solano Black Chamber candidate debate.
