The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is working to raise awareness about scammers pretending to be government officials to get your information. As a reminder, government agencies will never call, email, or text you and ask for money or personal information.

If you are a victim of a scam, you can report it to the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov

You can also report Social Security-related scams at ssa.gov/scam.

Celebrating the Delivery of the Super Hercules to the GA Air National Guard

I had the honor of celebrating the delivery of the C-130J-30 Super Hercules to the Georgia Air National Guard at Lockheed Martin's facility in Marietta last week!

The Georgia National Guard has a long legacy of great leaders, and this fine aircraft will serve our Air National Guard well while they serve our great nation.

It doesn't get better than Georgia built and Georgia flown!

Strengthening Protections for Our Farms

Protecting our farmers from cybersecurity threats is critical to our national security and food supply. I joined colleagues as an original cosponsor of H.R. 7062, the Farm and Food Cybersecurity Act, to enhance security measures and prevent potential cyber-attacks and supply disruptions.

This bipartisan legislation strengthens cybersecurity protections within the food and agriculture critical infrastructure sector by identifying vulnerabilities and improves the protective measures of government and private entities against devastating cyber threats on America’s food supply chain.

Announcing Service Academy Day at Georgia Military College

Our district is the proud home to many young men and women who are interested in serving our country. My office is hosting a U.S. Service Academy Day at Georgia Military College soon, where interested candidates and their families can gain valuable insight about attending our nation's service academies.

Representatives from the U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, along with leadership from Georgia Military College, will be in attendance.

Service Academy Day is free and open to the public. All high school students and their parents are welcome to attend.

Marietta Daily Journal | 'Georgia Built, Georgia Flown': Lockheed Delivers Newest C-130 to National Guard

"...U.S. Rep. Austin Scott, R-Tifton, who was there Monday to see the C-130 unveiled, touted the ability of both his Democratic and Republican colleagues to come together to make America safer.

'Everything about this aircraft, from the bipartisan support during the authorization and the appropriations process, to the turning of the wrenches to the assembling of bolts and steel and wires epitomizes the wisdom President Ronald Reagan stated in a 1983 speech,' Scott said, beginning to quote Reagan. ''When it comes to keeping America safe and strong, when it comes to keeping America free, there should be no Republicans or Democrats, only patriotic Americans working together.’ That’s what this aircraft symbolizes.'"
