URGENT DIRECTION - Party Annual General Meeting & Convention, Electorate Annual General Meetings 

23 March 2020

Greetings everyone

We are all very well aware of the current extraordinary situation surrounding COVID - 19 which is subject to change on a regular basis.

As of the Prime Minister’s announcement today advising New Zealand’s Covid-19 alert level being raised to three, in 48 hours the country will move to Level four full lockdown for the next four weeks.

The Board of Directors has confirmed the difficult decision regarding the scheduled Party Annual General Meeting and Conference and upcoming Electorate Annual General meetings 

Please be advised that the Party Annual General Meeting and Conference scheduled on 17/19 July is formally deferred until further notice.

Should you have made your bookings at the Waipuna Hotel & Conference Centre venue, you will be refunded or credited to a booking later.  Should you have already booked transport, you will need to contact Air New Zealand or other travel companies, for advice on other eligible change options.

In regard to your upcoming electorate Annual General Meetings, the same directive applies.

Those electorates scheduling their meetings over the immediate future have been notified of this direction and are currently making contact with their respective members to ensure the message is received by as many as possible. 

It is recommended that all other electorates follow the same direction.  Your Regional Board Directors have been requested follow up making contact with Electorate Secretaries.
