John, I’ve told you before that our race is too close for comfort.

The polls have consistently shown a dead heat between me and my leading GOP opponent — and U.S. News & World Report rates this a TOSS-UP race.

We know that North Carolina is going to be the most competitive gubernatorial race in the nation, so we know we’re not in for an easy road to Election Day. We must make sure we have the funds we need to get through the next 9 months.
