Dear John,
Taking back the Senate is imperative and Cory Gardner is holding on to the most vulnerable seat. That’s why we need to support the only campaign that is putting in the work to beat him. Team Lorena!
Our Team has been focused on boots-on-the-ground efforts to reach voters from all walks of life, in all regions of Colorado, because we know that in order to beat Cory Gardner, we need people to show up, even when a global pandemic is staring us in the face.
COVID-19 (coronavirus) has impacted us all, including all of the candidates, whether caucusing or petitioning. Caucuses saw abysmally low turnout (1.27% of all registered Dems, equating to roughly 13,000 people total). Petition campaigns saw a rapid decrease in signature collection once rallies, watch parties and other high volume events were cancelled across the state.
Meanwhile, our Team of volunteer circulators collected 13,824 signatures for our campaign alone. That’s more than all the caucus goers combined! And unlike Hickenlooper’s campaign, a large number of our signatures came amidst these costly closures.

Our campaign is proving that people are desperate for representation and a Senate that will act on their behalf, especially in these troubling times when we need our Congress to act swiftly to literally save people’s lives.
Our campaign is also proving that we’re building the coalition needed to beat Gardner in November because we will not stop fighting for the people of Colorado, despite all the barriers we’ve had to overcome.
Beating Gardner will not be easy. It’s going to take energy, dedication, and hard work. Our campaign has been delivering on these principles in spades because if we lose, then so do many people throughout Colorado.
