John,
There are currently over 3,000 “crisis pregnancy centers” in the United States. This term is incredibly misleading — these are really anti-abortion centers (AACs), which are fake abortion clinics. They’re often run by conservative Christian organizations and do not employ licensed healthcare providers.
These “health centers” attract vulnerable pregnant women by promising low-cost healthcare services, emotional support, and medical advice. Their goal is to gain the trust of “patients” and manipulate them into not receiving an abortion. They provide inaccurate medical information about abortion and contraception, preventing people from making informed decisions about their own reproductive and sexual health. What’s more, in at least 16 states, taxpayer money is funding these fake clinics.
With access to true reproductive care at stake across the country, these fake clinics have seen a surge in state funding. This money could be allocated to providing real, evidence-based reproductive healthcare. Join us and sign the petition to demand states stop funding fake abortion clinics.
Thank you for signing on,
