I couldn’t sleep on the night of November 8, 2022.

16 months earlier, I jumped in what would become the most important race in the nation. I was running for Congress against Jahana Hayes, a member of Washington’s Elite and one of Biden’s most trusted allies.

Friends and supporters watched as my opponent’s lead narrowed by 10%... then 5%... then 0.6%...

It was past midnight, and the election still hadn’t been called. I went home and couldn’t sleep a wink.

Over the next 36 hours, my team scrutinized the results and reviewed every ballot to see if we were missing something.

After many prayers, I picked up the phone and made the most difficult call I’ve ever had to make… to my Democrat opponent to tell her I was conceding.

I knew that wasn’t the end of my public service. Quitting isn’t in my DNA.

Democrats played dirty to win, and I knew the outcome should have been different. As a Black man, they compared me to a monkey and said I would only get votes because of my race. They’re terrified of me because I came within a hair of ending their winning streak.

Now, I’m challenging my Liberal opponent to a REMATCH. They’ll use every dirty trick in the book to discredit me. They’ll use every tactic to scare me. They’ll throw millions to throw me under the bus.

They can do all this, but I don’t budge. I know with the full force of our grassroots movement, we can win this race. We can FIRE one of Biden’s most trusted allies, but I will need YOUR help.
