Since 1963, runners from around the First State and across the country have descended on Rodney Square in Wilmington, Delaware to run the oldest half marathon in the country. The Caesar Rodney Half Marathon is not just a fun time for runners and spectators alike. It's a great way to support the American Lung Association (ALA) and their important mission -- to save lives by improving lung health, preventing lung disease, and providing clean air for all Americans.

This year, as a result of the spread of COVID-19, the American Lung Association made the decision to cancel the Caesar Rodney Half Marathon in order to keep all participants, spectators, staff and volunteers safe. What is particularly unfortunate is that nonprofits like ALA need our support now more than ever.

In the midst of this public health crisis, it's organizations like the American Lung Association that are working around the clock to make sure that the public has the science-based information needed to stay safe. Even without a race this year, we should do what we can to help ALA get over the finish line!

John, will you consider donating to ALA to keep their critical mission going during such an uncertain time?

Today, if you are able, let's chip in and ensure ALA can continue their work that is an important part of our nation's ability to combat the coronavirus outbreak. If we do, I know that we will be back at that starting line next year even stronger than before!

Thanks for all you are doing,

Tom
