Friend – as we kick off the election year, I know we've got a huge challenge ahead of us. No doubt this race will continue to get more and more difficult as November grows closer – but before things get too crazy, I want to take a chance to say: Thank you.

Your support means everything to me. It's because of grassroots folks like you that I won this race in Ohio in the first place. It's because of you that I'm able to fight for the Dignity of Work in the Senate. It's because of supporters like you that Ohio was able to restore abortion access last November. 

And it's because of you that I'm more optimistic than ever that we can win this race, keep Ohio's Senate seat blue, and defend our Democratic majority.

But here's the truth: What happens now, not later this fall, will determine whether we have the resources to win. With polls showing me neck and neck with my self-funding GOP challengers, I'm worried I could fall behind if we fail to keep up with their spending spree.

So please, friend, will you rush $5 now to help me reach my goal so we can win in Ohio and protect the Senate?
