Friends,

As the coronavirus continues to spread in New Hampshire and across the country, I wanted to take a moment to update you on what I’m doing in the U.S. Senate to combat the virus and ways you can help, too.

Right now, I’m engaged in bipartisan negotiations to provide urgent support for those particularly impacted by the virus. This includes financial relief and paid leave for workers, aid for small businesses, support for our hospitals and health care providers on the frontlines, childcare and eldercare for health care workers, and more. Congress has taken important steps already, but we must continue to do everything in our power to support our communities and our country.

Every single one of us has a part to play by helping to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus. Please be sure to follow the CDC guidelines: wash your hands thoroughly and regularly, and practice social distancing to help flatten the curve. And with circumstances changing quickly, keep an eye out for more updates from the CDC and from local health departments.

Finally, friend, remember that while we practice social distancing, we must continue to look out for one another. Check in with family, friends, and neighbors with a call, text message, or email. Be sure that your loved ones have the resources they need and that they are following CDC guidelines.

We all have a role to play in confronting this public health crisis and keeping our communities safe. We’ve come together to get through difficult times, and we’ll do it again this time.

Thank you, and please stay safe.
Jeanne
