Big news! Colorado The Colorado Forward Party just qualified as the state's newest political party <[link removed]>! On the 25th of January, the Colorado Secretary of State added the Forward Party to the list of minor parties in the state, solidifying their access to ballot lines in future races. We couldn’t be more excited to have an incredible team in CO—we thank them for all the hard work and congratulate them on this achievement.
Turning to the presidential primary season, we’re two states into the race, and it already feels like it’s over. Both legacy parties have supported a single candidate in their primary above all others and are lining up to give America a reelection race it doesn’t want. This system is broken. The two frontrunners are some of the most disliked candidates in recent history, and yet they’re both sailing towards a nomination nearly uncontested.
We can do better. We must do better.
Even in a year where the nominations seem all but a foregone conclusion, the cost of these presidential races is truly mind boggling. For just New Hampshire and Iowa, candidates have spent more than $170 million dollars to vie for the votes of just 0.4% of registered U.S. voters. You read that right: $170 million dollars for fewer than a million votes.
This overwhelming influx of cash for the top of the ticket is just another example of how our system focuses on the wrong things. All politics is local. Hometown candidates matter as much if not more than the top of the ticket. It’s time to build from the bottom up, not the top down.

Forward Party Gains Party Recognition In Colorado <[link removed]>| Forward Party
Aprime example of working bottom up instead of top down is the Forward Party of Colorado. Just yesterday, they achieved party status in their state, petitioning their way to recognition as just the second party to do so since the ‘90s, proving that there is a grassroots movement building in the Centennial State. Colorado joins Utah as the second state in as many months to qualify for party status under the Forward Banner. Here’s to you, Colorado!
