Once a Dodger, always a dodger. This is Katie Porter. Earlier this week, my Republican opponent and former baseball player Steve Garvey chewed up 2 minutes of what could have been substantive debate time waffling over whether or not he would vote for Trump again.

This is not the minor leagues. A candidate running to represent 40 million Americans in the United States Senate should know where they stand on Donald Trump.

Really, I’m not sure what more of Donald Trump Steve Garvey needs to see. And while Steve failed to illustrate a single coherent policy position in the debate—he is still polling ahead of us thanks to high name recognition here in California.
