Patriot, if you haven’t been keeping up with Texas’ ongoing clash with the Biden Administration at the southern border, get up to speed now:
FIRST, Governor Abbott ordered the Texas National Guard to install razor wire to repel illegal border crossings.
THEN, Joe Biden ordered Border Patrol agents to CUT the razor wire and BEGGED the Supreme Court to intervene.
NOW, the Supreme Court issued a surprising 5-4 decision knocking down a lower court’s injunction on the Biden Administration’s order – allowing Border Patrol agents to CUT the razor wire.
Governor Abbott made it clear that this fight is far from over and Texas will not back down from its constitutional authority to secure the border:
"The Executive Branch of the United States has a constitutional duty to enforce federal laws protecting States, including immigration laws on the books right now… President Biden has instructed his agencies to ignore federal statutes that mandate the detention of illegal immigrants. The failure of the Biden Administration to fulfill the duties imposed by Article IV, § 4 has triggered Article I, § 10, Clause 3, which reserves to this State the right of self-defense. For these reasons, I have already declared an invasion under Article I, § 10, Clause 3 to invoke Texas’s constitutional authority to defend and protect itself. That authority is the supreme law of the land and supersedes any federal statutes to the contrary."
Joe Biden’s open borders have left our communities vulnerable and our law enforcement officials overwhelmed. But Texas will continue to hold the line!
Texas will set up more razor wire, we will enforce state border security laws, build our border wall, and continue transporting migrants to self-declared sanctuary cities until we have a president who will put America’s safety and security FIRST.
Thank you in advance for your most generous contribution.
