Due, in large part, to our failure to secure the southern border, fentanyl overdoses are ravaging EVERY part of our country, including Indiana.
While we often think of this issue as affecting young people, fentanyl addiction is also impacting older Americans.
In the past twenty years, drug overdoses among senior citizens have increased fourfold – with fentanyl likely being a significant contributor.
That's why, in my role as the ranking member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Aging, I've written a report called "The Silent Epidemic: Fentanyl and Older Americans" to expose the facts about this crisis and provide solutions.
