51 years ago this week, Roe v. Wade put women in charge of their own bodies and their own futures.

But since last June, when the far-right Supreme Court overturned Roe, Republicans across the nation have been hell-bent on taking reproductive rights away in as many states as they can.

In the year and a half since the disastrous Dobbs ruling, 21 states have passed regressive and restrictive anti-abortion laws, meaning women in these states now have less control of their bodies, their careers or their futures.

Furthermore, in post-Roe America, many hopeful parents are understandably worried about whether Republicans' increasingly-restrictive abortion bans might criminalize the use of assisted reproductive healthcare technologies — such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) — to start or grow their families.

That's why this past week in the Senate, I introduced the Access to Family Building Act, legislation that will put these worries to rest and protect access to IVF.

It's also why I'm reaching out today to ask:

Will you add your name to my petition as a Citizen Co-Sponsor of the Access to Family Building Act today? Add your voice to mine and show my colleagues that we must protect access to IVF and begin restoring reproductive freedoms for every American.

ADD YOUR NAME [link removed]

This piece of legislation is just the beginning, and an important stepping stone toward restoring Roe's protections and enshrining reproductive rights for all into law.

The bottom line is that women and their doctors should decide what healthcare decisions are best for themselves — not Republican politicians.

That's why now as much as ever, we must work to elect more pro-choice Democrats at every level of government, including the Senate, where our razor-thin majority is already at risk.

As always, thank you for joining me in that effort, and thank you in advance for adding your name today.

All my best,

Tammy
