Dear John,
We hope you’re staying safe and active during this unprecedented time.
We’re writing to ask you, as a member of ADL’s community, to take a quick moment today to call on Congress to include support for nonprofit organizations in their COVID-19 stimulus packages.
In times of crisis, nonprofits are on the front lines, serving communities across the nation — but funds are needed to continue doing so. That is why we call for support for charities to be included in the COVID-19 legislation now rapidly moving through Congress.
We’re urging Congress to include $60 billion of emergency relief for social service organizations and other nonprofits. In this time of crisis, America’s charitable nonprofits need this immediate infusion of capital to maintain operations and expand our scope to address increasing demands.
Without dramatic and immediate financial support from our government, the people we serve face a sharp reduction in mission-critical services at a time when the support provided by nonprofits are needed like never before by the most vulnerable in our communities.
Will you help us encourage Congress to include nonprofit organizations in their stimulus packages? Time is of the essence, so please use ADL’s petition to contact your members of Congress now!
Sincerely, |
|
