As I reflect on my journey as a climate activist, my mind takes me back to my earliest memories in nature – whether it’s watching the beauty of a sunset as it paints the evening sky or just wandering through the woods by my childhood home, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of birds singing.

It's these moments of connection with the natural world that have kept me grounded, reinforcing a love and respect for our planet that just grows stronger.

But, let's face it, the urgency to protect our environment has never been more critical. The climate crisis is right on our doorstep. It's a reality now, not some distant future. And it's tough, really tough, seeing the cherished places of my childhood at risk.
