Hi friend!

Last week, we asked you to fill out a survey telling us what issues are most on your mind as we head into this year’s election. Today, we’re emailing you with the results.

First: thank you so much to everyone who filled this out. We really enjoyed reading all your submissions and the emails you sent back to us directly. We know winning in November won’t be easy, and there’s a lot of work we need to do, but we’re grateful to have your help determining our priorities in 2024.

And now, here are the results of the survey:

The top three issues that mattered the most to you were preventing gun violence, combating the climate crisis, and enshrining reproductive freedom and justice into law.

You also said that these issues are top-of-mind for your friends and family as well; in fact, preventing gun violence is the issue most of you also said you hear about the most from the people in your life.

We understand this. Tragedies stemming from gun violence are all too common.

That’s why President Biden and Vice President Harris brought together Democrats and Republicans to pass the historic Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, the first major piece of gun safety legislation in three decades. This bill strengthens the background check system, makes gun trafficking and straw purchases federal crimes, and funds significant investments to address the mental health crisis in America. We also asked you which Biden-Harris legislation you were familiar with, and interestingly, most had not heard of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act. It’s an important reminder for the entire Win the Era team about the importance of talking about and sharing the historic achievements of the Biden-Harris administration with our friends, family, and community.
