Friends --
When yesterday the official U.S. Army Instagram account posted a racist and incorrect image spreading lies about how COVID-19 originated, this team took immediate collective action. We joined Senator Tammy Duckworth in demanding the post, and others like it spreading misinformation, be removed immediately.
In a time of crisis, the military's job is to inform and protect, not joke around. And because this team immediately called attention to this despicable behavior, the Army acted and relieved this person from their job.
Americans deserve better than racism and xenophobia from the highest levels of our country's leadership. That's why we're fighting every day to make sure that come November we send Donald Trump and his sycophants setting a bad example at all levels of government packing.
Will you make a donation to VoteVets today to sustain our work at restoring accountability and leadership through November and beyond? Any amount makes a difference ahead of this month's quarterly deadline in just a few days.

In times of crisis, it is critical that we all band together to demand real leadership from our institutions. The Army demonstrated the ability to rise to the occasion yesterday when it heard our outrage and took decisive action.
Now it's up to us to do everything in our power to restore the same levels of leadership all the way up to and including the Commander-in-chief come this November. Thanks for contributing today if you're able to.
