Meet Winston! Our first Familias Reunidas bond fund recipient of 2024! He is a 47-year-old migrant from Mauritania. He spent over 6 months inside the Imperial Regional Detention Center. That is more than half a year without his friends and family.
Thanks to your donations to the Home for the Holidays campaign this December, we were able to get him to where he reunited with his loved ones. We share with you this sweet picture of one of his reunions back home in Ohio!
Since we started this program, we have posted 123 bonds, and reunited 123 families. It is our hope, that together we can reunite so much more. If you would like to help others like Winston you can donate through button below. Your donation goes towards freeing someone from detention!
If your loved one is in the Otay Mesa, Adelanto, or Imperial Regional Detention Center and you need assistance paying for their bond, you can fill out an application here.

We set out once again last Saturday for our January water drop alongside a dozen wonderful volunteers. On this route we were met with much evidence of migrant activity, such as empty bottles, clothing, wrappers and more. We hope that the many supplies left behind including hand warmers, beanies, and socks reach those along their journey as we face such harsh weather conditions today. Our thoughts are with all of those crossing through and are sending all of our love to the desert.
We are committed to assisting our migrant siblings, as well as ensuring our volunteers do so in the safest way possible. We are incredibly grateful for our volunteers and safety monitors.
If you missed our January Volunteer Water Drop, scroll down to our Volunteer Opportunities section to sign up for next month. For more information you can email our coordinator at [email protected].

We got a visit from Donna and Sarah at the office! They heard about our organization and immediately felt the call to act. They hand-knitted beanies, scarves and blankets for adults and kids to help migrant families.🧶🧤
We are so grateful for little moments like this which remind us how important our mission of love is, and just how amazing all of our supporters are!❤️
