On Monday, thousands of pro-life Minnesotans gathered in St. Paul for the annual Minnesota March for Life, and I was so pleased that I was able to join them this year. I am proud of doing my part in Congress to advance the love and compassion of the pro-life movement. With the support of my Republican colleagues in the House, we passed two pro-life bills that preserve critical funding for pregnancy centers (Supporting Pregnant and Parenting Women and Families Act) and ensure universities provide student-aid resources to pregnant students (Pregnant Students' Rights Act). I look forward to continuing this important work and standing up for the sanctity of life.
I also joined my colleagues in supporting the bipartisan Creating Access to Rural Employment and Education for Resilience and Success (CAREERS) Act introduced by Congressman Nick Langworthy. In our region, as in many rural areas, industries are grappling with the challenge of securing skilled workers. The CAREERS Act addresses this by investing in pathway training programs and fostering meaningful partnerships with the private sector. By expanding skills development opportunities for existing workers, this legislation will play a vital role in closing the skills gap, bolstering rural economies, and ensuring the sustainability and competitiveness of our communities for years to come.
Finally, I’d like to highlight Deputy Brady Pundsack's return to duty after surviving a life-threatening accident in July 2023 at the Pierz Freedom Fest. His journey of nearly six months of intensive physical therapy and rehabilitation is nothing short of inspiring. Myself and Team Fischbach wish Deputy Pundsack continued success as he resumes his duties with the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office.
As always, please contact my office if there is anything we can help with. Thank you for your continued support!
With gratitude,
