Hi John,
There’s no denying it’s been a strange month for all of us here in Washington state, full of many unprecedented changes. With everything going on, I’m happy to have such a strong team and so many dedicated supporters to keep this campaign moving forward, not to mention the recent endorsements from Tacoma City Councilmember Kristina Walker, former Tacoma City Councilmember Ryan Mello, and Tacoma School Board Director Lisa Keating.
With this momentum, we’ve set solid benchmarks every week in order to hit our FEC filing goal on March 31st. Right now, we are short of this week’s benchmark.
This is a new campaign, so this first FEC filing deadline really matters for us. This is where we show everyone that our campaign -- our vision -- has what it takes to reach voters throughout the district with our message.
The last thing we want to do now is scale back critical infrastructure that limits our communication and outreach capacity. But we will have to scale back if we don’t hit these benchmarks.
We have a bold vision for the South Sound, and I’m offering a new approach to politics for Congress. And this is serious stuff. We need action -- now -- to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic and the climate emergency. And we absolutely need a healthcare system that covers everyone and that people can count on when they need it most.
If we can raise $970 more today, we can get our fundraising back on track to reach our goal before the March 31st FEC filing deadline. We’re almost there.
I hope this campaign can help bring you joy. It brings me joy on a daily basis, and I’m so grateful for the people who are a part of it with me. Thank you for being a part of our campaign and for everything you do.
Phil
