The Widow in the Woods
We have Survival Sunday - how about "Saturday Shenanigans" for our
weekend "fun" post? I've always loved the word shenanigans but so rarely
have reason to use it.
This week, I wanted to post some fiction I started a while back then put
aside when life got in the way. It's far from finished but I would love
your feedback.
What I wanted was to write some prepper fiction with an unexpected
protagonist. Most books in our genre have very similar characters -
rugged former military guys who are determined to save the people they
love. And as much as I enjoy those books, I believe that these will not
be the only survivors when the SHTF.
So, meet Grace Sherwood, a 70-something woman who has been all but
forgotten when the SHTF.
