Lockheed Martin Delivers First C-130J-30 Super Hercules to the Georgia Air National Guard

This week, Lockheed Martin delivered the first of eight C-130J-30 Super Hercules Tactical airlifters to the Georgia Air National Guard during a ceremony in Marietta, commemorating a new era of Hercules operations.

"Since I came to Congress, I have fiercely advocated for increased C-130 procurement, due to its importance in strengthening our national security. The C-130J Super Hercules is the most capable airlifter in the world. Every aircraft made represents the hard work of 5,500 Georgians at Lockheed Martin's Marietta facility located right here in the 11th Congressional District," said Rep. Barry Loudermilk.

"This new aircraft also represents a major increase in capability for the men and women of Georgia's Air National Guard, who will now count the most advanced C-130 ever built as part of its newest fleet. I want to thank Georgia Adjutant General Thomas Carden for his partnership in securing this major victory for Georgia and our nation."

House Investigation into J6 Select Committee Recovers Over 100 Deleted and Encrypted files Days Before House GOP Secured Majority

In case you missed it, Rep. Barry Loudermilk (GA-11), Chairman of the House Administration Committee's Oversight Subcommittee, announced that the former January 6 Select Committee deleted more than 100 password-protected and encrypted files from its probes days before House Republicans secured the majority following the 2022 midterm elections.

As first reported by Fox News, the Oversight Subcommittee's investigation hired a forensics team to scrape hard drives turned over by the former January 6 Select Committee to determine what information they were not given. That analysis determined and recovered 117 deleted and encrypted files. Rep. Loudermilk is demanding answers and passwords to access the data.

"It’s obvious that Pelosi’s Select Committee went to great lengths to prevent Americans from seeing certain documents produced in their investigation. It also appears that Bennie Thompson and Liz Cheney intended to obstruct our Subcommittee by failing to preserve critical information and videos as required by House rules," said Rep. Loudermilk. "The American people deserve to know the full truth, and Speaker Johnson has empowered me to use all tools necessary to recover these documents to get the truth, and I will."

This week, Rep. Loudermilk (GA-11) joined a bipartisan group of 211 of his colleagues in sending a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken denouncing South Africa’s baseless case against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which falsely charges Israel of committing genocide.

South Africa makes grossly unfounded and defamatory charges against Israel on the world stage, abusing the judicial process in order to delegitimize the democratic State of Israel,” the Members wrote

The Members continued, “We vigorously denounce South Africa’s deeply hostile stance towards Israel and thoroughly reject its charge of genocide. We urge you to continue to do the same, to offer Israel all appropriate support in opposing the South African application to the ICJ, and to encourage our allies to join us in speaking out against this unfounded attack on Israel, particularly at the United Nations and in other intergovernmental organizations.”

This legislation protects the fixed-income market from unnecessary and burdensome Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) disclosure requirements. It also will exempt fixed-income securities from a recently misinterpreted SEC regulation.

Fixed-income securities, which are often bonds, provide investors with regular interest payments and an eventual return of the original loan amount.
