John, this is corruption at its worst.
On Thursday, we found out that Senators Richard Burr and Kelly Loeffler sold off millions of dollars in stocks after attending private briefings about the coronavirus pandemic in February.
Let’s be very clear about this: These senators had insider information on an impending pandemic, and instead of standing up to Trump, they used it to profit off of a public health crisis before the market crashed and throw the livelihoods of millions of working families into jeopardy. They must resign now.

President Trump, with the help of Republicans like Senators Burr and Loeffler, downplayed the threat of COVID-19 to the American public while ignoring the need to respond early to this once in a generation public health crisis.
Working families are now paying the price — lost jobs, lost wages, school closures, price gouging, and worries over whether or not they can even afford a trip to the emergency room if they are infected.
This blatant, naked corruption underscores the need to stop members of Congress from owning individual stocks in the first place. Our elected officials are supposed to serve us, not themselves.
They knew exactly what they were doing — and we must hold them accountable.
Add your name to our petition calling on Senators Richard Burr and Kelly Loeffler to resign immediately for insider trading and breaking the public’s trust.
