Hi John,
I asked my team to put together a monthly newsletter of what I’ve been up to, so you can hear about the great work we’ve been doing.
I know life can be busy, and your inbox can get filled up with political emails, so I appreciate any time you can dedicate to reading this newsletter each month.
Thanks!

Tina celebrated her first year in office!
Governor Kotek celebrated the one year anniversary of her swearing-in ceremony by looking back at her first year in office. Relive it all by watching our recap video, and give us a follow on X/Twitter while you’re there!
Tina’s key legislative priority for 2024: Housing.
“Gov. Tina Kotek has made housing her key focus for the upcoming legislative session, demonstrated by the sole bill she plans to introduce calling for a $500 million drive to create more housing.
Her bill would funnel $400 million into local infrastructure projects and middle-income housing, establish a tool for cities to expand their urban growth boundaries with stringent affordability requirements for new homes, provide grants for climate-friendly housing and create a state housing accountability and production office."
We’re adding more ways to help people suffering with an addiction.
ICYMI: The Portland Central City Task Force announced a 10-point plan to help with the revitalization of downtown Portland.
Governor Kotek’s task force aimed at improving life in Portland’s Central City and revitalizing economic growth in the area released their official recommendations, which include banning open-air drug use, cleaning up graffiti, removing debris, adding more shelter beds, increasing law enforcement presence, and more. These steps will help the city recover from some of the most damaging effects of the pandemic.
