We wanted to make sure you saw Joaquin’s last email. Lt. Governor Dan Patrick claimed that Biden should be off of the Texas ballot for how he handles border security.

Read forwarded message from Joaquin Castro:

Lt. Governor Dan Patrick said in an interview that President Biden should be taken off the Texas ballot for 2024, just as Trump was in Colorado.

Trump being taken off the ballot for inciting an insurrection is incomparable. Frankly, it’s concerning to see a Texas public official even make that claim.

We must remain committed in our fight to protect and strengthen our democracy against extremism. Will you chip in $10 or any amount to help elect new leaders in November?

Republicans with extremist views are using immigration as a weapon for re-election when they have been the ones violating human rights of migrants crossing the border. We cannot stand by as they disregard the safety of those who are already facing immense challenges.

We’ve witnessed the dangerous impact of extremism right here in Texas and across our country, and it is only increasing as we get closer to elections — which is why I need your help.

The 2024 elections will be crucial and we cannot afford to let Dan Patrick and his loyalty to Trump pose a threat to the integrity of our election system. Chip in $10 or any amount to help get the word out and elect good, decent people who will put country above self >>
