KVOA: Governor Katie Hobbs announces $95 million federal grant for I-10 expansion

Katie just announced that Arizona is receiving federal funding to improve the I-10 corridor’s safety, reduce traffic, and ensure the hundreds of thousands of travelers who use this route daily are able to continue doing so for decades to come.

Roe v. Wade: The fight for reproductive freedom continues

Katie Hobbs: My statement regarding the 51st anniversary of Roe v. Wade 🔽 Fifty one years ago, millions of Arizonans celebrated as the Supreme Court made the monumental and just decision to protect women’s reproductive freedom. While we honor that day, we must also recognize that these fundamental rights have since been stripped away by politicians who think they belong in these deeply personal decisions that should be between a woman and her doctor.

“Fighting for Arizona families means defending every individual’s right to make their own reproductive healthcare decisions. In Arizona, there is still a dangerous total abortion ban from 1864 on the books. We must repeal this archaic law and protect our reproductive freedoms by making access to contraception a right and stop government overreach from invading women’s privacy. Reproductive freedom is not a partisan issue, and I will not let extremists take Arizona backwards. That is a promise.

It’s a win-win: Katie just released a plan that will give teachers and school faculty a well-earned raise without increasing taxes on Arizonans. This is part of Katie’s work to address the teacher retention crisis and build a public education system that gives every child the opportunity to succeed.

Axios Phoenix: Hobbs pitches water plan to resolve housing moratorium that hit Buckeye and Queen Creek

Securing Arizona’s water supply is critical to building more homes to address our housing crisis. Katie’s new Alternative Designation of Assured Water Supply proposal protects our communities’ water resources while paving the way for new housing that middle-class Arizonans can afford.

KGUN: Abortion, housing, border security: Governor Katie Hobbs addresses Tucsonans

Katie delivered the Governor’s State Report in Tucson following her State of the State address to the legislature earlier this month. During her speech, she highlighted her work to continue investing in border security, support Arizonans facing eviction and housing insecurity, and defend reproductive freedom.
