John — I’ve been keeping an eye on donations ahead of our end-of-month fundraising deadline, and I wanted to quickly check in with you.
As of 8:00 CT this morning, we’ve raised about 15% of our $75,000 end-of-month fundraising goal. But with our primary on March 5, 15% isn’t enough – we need all hands on deck to keep our fundraising on track.
I want to make sure you know how we’ll be putting your donations to work (You can go ahead and make a donation now). We’re using mail to make sure we can get Brian’s message out to voters in TX-32. But it isn’t cheap — one mailing costs over $20,000.
I’m not going to ask you to dig quite that deep today, but here are a few other things you can help fund with your contribution today:
$17.05: One month of zoom access. Whether it’s hosting our weekly volunteer phone banks, or meeting with community leaders and our team, we’re on zoom A LOT.
$26.94: Six clipboards. Our volunteers are out knocking on doors across the district, and they need the supplies to talk with voters. (Don’t worry, we have a lot more than six - we just need a few extra.)
$68: 100 stamps (prices just went up 🙁) From thank you notes for our event hosts and donors to campaign updates, we send a lot of mail, and your contribution helps make it happen.
$122: One toner cartridge. Why are these things so expensive? What I do know is that we go through a lot of ink for mailings, flyers and volunteer sign up sheets.
Every door we knock on, every voter we talk to, and every person who hears Brian’s message will bring us one step closer to winning on March 5. But getting there requires resources.
That’s why I’m reaching out: Will you pitch in $5, or whatever you can, before midnight on January 31 to ensure we hit our $75,000 goal?
Thanks so much,
Anna Brichacek
